First swim of the summer!

Native New Zealand Art

We have been studying New Zealand flora and fauna. We chose an animal to draw and then painted a habitat for it. We had to think about what the habitat would be like, for example, a Kiwi (the most popular!!) lives on the forest floor and is nocturnal.

Flowers

Our art topic for this term is drawing. We studied flowers and then drew our own with pencil. When we were happy with them we used vivid, pastel and dye to add colour.
