Jellyfish Bloom
As part of our sea creatures inquiry we found out an interesting fact about jellyfish - a large group of jellyfish is called a bloom. This happens when jellyfish find a place that is safe from predators and has lots of food. Some blooms can have hundreds of thousands of jellyfish. We made our own jellyfish bloom in Room 7.......

Sea Creatures
This term our inquiry learning is about sea creatures. The children have had free choice about what sea creature they want to study. So far we have learned about orcas, whale sharks, jellyfish, puffer fish, sea horses and sea eels! Here are photos of our lovely artwork......
The mum seahorse lays her eggs into a pouch on the daddy seahorse and he looks after the eggs. Bella
The seahorse eats little tiny creatures in the ocean. Joshua
A whale is the biggest fish in the ocean. Ronan
Sharks eat fish and they stay up at night and hunt for food. Cooper

A whale shark has very sharp teeth that bite smaller fish. Jordin
A whale shark eats krill. It hold its mouth open and smaller fish swim in. Xaver

A sea eel can be safe in seaweed because it looks like seaweed. Pippa
