Solar System Art
We have finished our Solar System art ready for Ag day. First we used a spray bottle filled with white paint to create the star background, then we placed our planets on and we finally finished the picture off with some collage materials.

Book Week
This week has been Book Week at Dairy Flat School. We have done lots of reading and book activities in Room 4 with the children bringing in their favourite books to share with the class. Today we are all dressed up in various book characters - we have got Pippi Longstocking, Peter Pan, Fancy Nancy and the witch from "Room on the Broom", not to mention Spiderman, Superman, Batman, lots of Princesses and a Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!

Stu Duval Visit
As part of our Book Week, Stu Duval came to visit us. The whole of the Junior team went into the hall for a workshop session involving storytelling and drawing. Stu is an amazing storyteller and the children were all totally enthralled. He taught us all how to draw cartoons and one of them used the number 5 as a starting point. Every single child was able to draw their own dog, cat and an alien - which fitted in nicely with our Space theme!
